Questions
Frequently asked questions
Before you start
What happens on the introductory call?
The introductory call lasts 15 minutes and takes place by video. You briefly describe what is going on, I explain how I work, and we decide together whether it makes sense to continue. There is nothing you need to prepare.
Do I need to be in a crisis to come to therapy?
No. Therapy is not only for crises. It can also help when you feel stuck, overwhelmed, self-critical, or ready to understand yourself more clearly. If you are in immediate danger, please call 112 or 1018 in Greece.
Do you offer sessions in English?
Yes. Sessions are available in English or Greek, and you are welcome to use whichever language feels most natural to you.
Should I choose online or in person?
Whichever fits your life best. The structure and length of the sessions are the same. Many clients combine online and in-person sessions, and we can also discuss this during the introductory call.
Sessions & fees
How long is a session and how much does it cost?
Sessions are 50 minutes and cost €50.
How often do we meet?
Sessions take place weekly. A steady rhythm helps the work stay focused and consistent.
How do I pay?
Payment details are shared when we schedule the first session.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations or changes require at least 24 hours' notice. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice are charged.
Can I get an invoice for insurance?
Yes. I can provide an invoice, which some insurance plans may accept for reimbursement. I do not work directly with insurance providers.
How long will therapy take?
It depends on what we are working on. REBT is structured and goal-oriented rather than open-ended. We review progress together at regular points, and stopping is always something we can discuss openly.
The therapy process
Will I get homework?
Yes, but small and agreed on together. It is never busywork. Usually, it is something to notice, practise, or try between sessions, so the work becomes part of real life.
Will we talk about my childhood?
When it is useful, yes. Patterns come from somewhere. But the work stays connected to the present, especially the beliefs and responses you carry now.
What if I disagree with you?
That is welcome. REBT depends on testing ideas honestly, including mine. You will never be expected to accept a reframe that does not feel true or useful.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. Everything you share is confidential within the standard legal and ethical limits for psychologists in Greece, which I explain clearly before we start.
